Are You Using This Top-Selling Cancer-Linked Toothpaste?


Three years ago, Colgate-Palmolive responded to safety concerns brought forth by consumer groups by removing triclosan from its soap products. But the company left it in its best-selling toothpaste, Colgate Total. (Colgate Total is the only triclosan-containing toothpaste sold in the US.)
But if triclosan can cause serious health problems when used topically, surely using it in your mouth is not going to be any safer, as chemicals are readily absorbed in your oral cavity.
For example, zinc-containing denture creams like Fixodent, Poligrip, Super Poligrip, and others, have been linked to zinc poisoning.1 Toxic effects include serious neurological problems, including neuropathy.
There are even class-action lawsuits underway by people who have been poisoned by their denture creams. With regards to triclosan-containing toothpaste, Bloomberg2 reports:
"Total is safe, Colgate says, citing the rigorous Food and Drug Administration process that led to the toothpaste's 1997 approval as an over-the-counter drug.
A closer look at that application process, however, reveals that some of the scientific findings Colgate put forward to establish triclosan's safety in toothpaste weren't black and white -- and weren't, until this year, available to the public."

FDA admits not knowing about existence of many food chemicals, let alone their safety

The explosive introduction of new food additives, in addition to an easing of some federal oversight requirements, has allowed manufacturers to dodge scrutiny from the Food and Drug Administration, the agency responsible for ensuring the safety of chemicals that are flowing into the food supply.

And, as reported by The Washington Post, in hundreds of cases the FDA is not even aware of the existence of new additives, which can include chemical preservatives, thickening agents and flavorings, interviews and records have shown.

"We simply do not have the information to vouch for the safety of many of these chemicals," said Michael Taylor, the FDA's deputy commissioner for food, in an interview with the Post.

The paper further reported:

The FDA has received thousands of consumer complaints about additives in recent years, saying certain substances seem to trigger asthmatic attacks, serious bouts of vomiting, intestinal-tract disorders and other health problems.

'We have questions about whether we can do what people expect'

At a rate that has been much faster than in prior years, companies are adding secret ingredients to practically everything. However, the more widespread concern among food-safety advocates and federal regulators is the increasing trend of companies choosing a quicker certification process, at a level never intended when it was created 17 years ago to, in part, help businesses.

BREAKING: CDC whistleblower confesses to MMR vaccine research fraud in historic public statement

CDC whistleblower William Thompson has now gone public with a statement posted on the website of the law firm representing him, Morgan Verkamp LLC. (See the full statement reprinted below.)

The statement opens with a blatant admission of scientific fraud at the CDC:

My name is William Thompson. I am a Senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where I have worked since 1998. I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.

The full letter is available at this link. In the letter, Dr. Thompson confirms the fact that he had multiple phone conversations with Brian Hooker and that the CDC has not been honest about the risks associated with MMR vaccines.

The letter then goes on to repeat the typical vaccine propaganda of our time: all vaccines are miracle medicine, the CDC is highly professional, there has been no retaliation against him and so on. Intelligent readers will of course take all these statements with a grain of salt, understanding just how much political and legal pressure has no doubt been exerted onto Dr. Thompson up to this point.

The relevant portion of Dr. Thompson's statement is contained in the first paragraph. It is an open admission of scientific fraud at the CDC, and the admission of this by William Thompson is an historic moment for our world.

American Beer Is Full of Crap

On June 11, 2014, I launched a petition to ask 2 major beer companies – Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors to disclose their ingredients online. The alcohol industry lobbied for years to keep this information secret from us – and now finally due to your support, signatures and activism, we’re finally going to get some information. The Food Babe Army succeeded where other organizations have not. To think beer companies have gotten away with this for decades is mind-boggling.
“This is pretty incredible: 24 hours, and 43,000 signatures after her petition went online, Vani Hari, aka the “Food Babe,” has convinced Anheiser-Busch to publicly reveal the list of ingredients for its beers. To put that into context, the Center for Science in the Public Interest has been lobbying the government to require beer companies to list their ingredients — something they’re not currently required to do by law — for three decades.” – Salon
I am so amazed by the power of the #FoodBabeArmy. What we have done is truly astonishing. In just one day, we received not only responses from these huge multi-billion dollar corporations, but they are already taking steps in the right direction and beginning to publish their ingredients online. But the fight is not over, I’m still going to need you to pay attention and learn the facts about what’s happening right now. I spent last weekend gathering this critical information to share with you – I want you to have all the details.
On the afternoon of June 12, 2014, I received a phone call and a letter from Anheuser-Busch, in which they told me that they they will agree to publish their ingredients online at TapIntoYourBeer.com and invited me to meet with their head brewmasters in St. Louis. When I heard the news, I was obviously thrilled (one of my lovely team members took a photo right at that moment, see below). I had been thinking and preparing for this petition for almost a year and was honestly quite shocked at the fast response.

Unfortunately, they decided only to post ingredient lists for Budweiser and Bud Light, initially. Obviously, this is not enough and I’m really looking forward to seeing the ingredient lists for their remaining beers as promised in the coming days. I am keeping very close tabs on this and will update you when all the ingredients for all of their beers are posted. I am looking forward to visiting Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis to learn more about their ingredient disclosures and talk to their brewmasters. That being said – I don’t think there’s any excuse for them to delay the listing of their other brands on their website, including the ingredients in Bud Light Lime which I was told contains high fructose corn syrup by their customer service representative after repeated inquiries and Stella Artois which reportedly contains caramel coloring:

Humanity could run out of water worldwide by 2040, scientists warn

In approximately 25 years, fresh water may be hard to come by. Two new reports based on three years of research show that the entire world's population may go thirsty by 2040.

Remarkably, by 2020, between 30 and 40 percent of the world's population could be affected by water shortages. Much of the water shortage hinges on the way energy is produced today at coal-and natural-gas-fired power plants.

Researchers from Aarhus University in Denmark, Vermont Law School and the CNA Corporation got together to study today's energy production methods and how they compete with clean water sustainability. They were stunned by what they found and raised alarm. If humans continue on the same path of energy production that we are on today, wasting billions of gallons of water to cool coal-fired power plants, then in 25 years, all clean water sources could be tapped dry.

Deadly pandemic virus capable of wiping out humanity intentionally created by MAD U.S. scientist

If you've ever seen it, the popular Stephen King mini-series The Stand fictionalizes a post-apocalyptic world in which a man-made plague escapes a government lab and ravages the world, destroying most of the world's population. Well, a real-life plague of this devastating magnitude is now a very real possibility thanks to the machinations of a deranged U.S. scientist out of Wisconsin, who has successfully manufactured a deadly flu strain that completely bypasses the human immune system.

His name is Yoshihiro Kawaoka, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UWM) actually pays him to deconstruct viruses in order to reassemble them into highly lethal strains capable of killing off large numbers of humans. The UK's Independent reports that Dr. Kawaoka has now successfully manipulated the 2009 H1N1 flu strain to evade the human immune system, rendering individuals completely vulnerable to disease and death.

"Kawaoka... has genetically manipulated the 2009 strain of pandemic flu in order for it to 'escape' the control of the immune system's neutralising antibodies, effectively making the human population defenceless against its reemergence," wrote Steve Connor for The Independent.

Ebola transmission by aerosols confirmed: virus survives for days outside infected hosts

(NaturalNews) Today Kurt Nimmo from Infowars.com is incorrectly reporting that "aerosol transmission is not possible" with Ebola. (2) That statement is part of an article entitled, "Don't Fear Ebola, Fear the State" which is, overall, a very compelling article.

Nimmo is a fantastic writer and a great researcher, but in this case his statement is factually incorrect and probably needs to be addressed. As clearly explained by the Public Health Agency of Canada: (3)

"INFECTIOUS DOSE: 1 - 10 aerosolized organisms are sufficient to cause infection in humans."

Ebola, you see, can "ride" on aerosolized particles of blood, mucous and other body fluids. Someone sneezing, for example, can cause Ebola viruses to be aerosolized where they land on other people's hands or faces. It only takes one virus entering the corner of your eye (or the corner of your mouth) to set off a full-blown infection.

In fact, a 2012 BBC article entitled "Growing concerns over 'in the air' transmission of Ebola" states: (3)

Canadian scientists have shown that the deadliest form of the ebola virus could be transmitted by air between species. In experiments, they demonstrated that the virus was transmitted from pigs to monkeys without any direct contact between them. In their experiments, the pigs carrying the virus were housed in pens with the monkeys in close proximity but separated by a wire barrier. After eight days, some of the macaques were showing clinical signs typical of ebola and were euthanised.

Ebola survives for days outside the host

Even worse, Ebola is a strong survivor outside a host. Here's what the Public Health Agency of Canada says:

SURVIVAL OUTSIDE HOST: The virus can survive in liquid or dried material for a number of days. Infectivity is found to be stable at room temperature or at 4 C for several days, and indefinitely stable at -70 C. Infectivity can be preserved by lyophilisation.

This clearly states that Ebola viruses can survive for several days on common objects such as door knobs or household surfaces. If an infected Ebola victim runs around touching such common objects after cleaning blood or mucous from his nose, another innocent victim can easily infect himself by touching the same objects and then eating some food that places the virus in his mouth.
