The latest left-wing ecological insanity: Clear-cutting forests to burn the trees for “green” energy

In the interest of stopping “global warming,” government officials in the United Kingdom have partnered with companies and governments in the state of Virginia to hack down large swaths of southern hardwood forest in order to create “biomass” energy for use across the pond.
Since continuing to burn native fossil fuels like coal won’t help the U.K. achieve its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets, the country has decided to clear-cut entire forests here in the United States and burn all the wood that’s collected to generate electricity – and it’s calling this mass destruction of trees “green” energy.
This partnership between Great Britain and Virginia is costing U.K. taxpayers the equivalent of nearly $1 billion annually, as their electricity bills are padded with extra “green” fees that supposedly help to cover the cost of mowing down America’s hardwood forests and turning them into fuel for homes and businesses.
Because trees are technically renewable, the whole thing is considered to be beneficial in helping to curb the threat of “climate change,” despite the fact that burning wood creates a tremendous amount of heat and ash pollution. But tacking “green” onto the endeavor is apparently enough to pacify the climate fanatics who support the move, and believe that it will help to reduce the U.K.’s “carbon footprint.”
“This is yet another shocking example of the mindless, destructive, anti-science stupidity of the climate change alarmists,” warned scientist Mike Adams, publisher of Climate.news and founder of a globally-recognized food and environmental science lab (CWClabs.com). “Industries are literally murdering living forests in the name of greening the planet,” Adams said. “The very same people who used to be tree huggers are now tree murderers, and none of them appear to recognize any contradiction in their own stupidity.”

According to The Ecologist, the felled trees in Virginia’s hardwood forests are being turned into millions of tons of small wood pellets that are regularly shipped over to the U.K.’s largest power station, Drax, which is located in North Yorkshire. A U.S.-based company known as Enviva first processes the logs into these pellets, which are then hauled across the Atlantic and burned as fuel at the Drax plant.
It’s a laborious process that British authorities claim will help to cut the nation’s carbon emission by 57 percent by the year 2030. Drax plans to completely phase out the burning of local coal, instead bringing in the wood pellets from overseas, which is supposedly “greener.”
According to officials at Drax, the burning of wood pellets rather than coal will supposedly help reduce carbon emissions at the plant alone by as much as 80 percent. This figure comes from laboratory experiments conducted at the University of Nottingham that supposedly show major carbon reductions.

Truth bomb: Burning wood actually produces more carbon than burning coal

But is this actually true? Not exactly. As explained by The Ecologist, to generate the same amount of energy from wood pellets as from coal ends up producing about eight percent more carbon – meaning wood-burning is actually more polluting than coal-burning.
But because European law regards wood biomass as “carbon neutral,” this isn’t even considered – not to mention the mass destruction of hardwood forests that’s left in its wake. And Drax doesn’t even have to report the amount of carbon emissions coming from its chimneys due to this “carbon neutral” designation.
If Drax was, in fact, required to monitor carbon emissions, it would reveal that biomass is hardly “green” in the way that some people think it is. At least 11.7 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) was generated at Drax just last year alone – and if this was all biomass energy, it would be an additional eight percent more CO2.
And while the replanting of trees can help to sequester some of this carbon, trees take several decades to regrow. This implies that creating biomass is hardly a “green” endeavor, and is actually causing widespread destruction to, in this case, America’s precious natural resources.
“Britain may be on track to eliminating the use of coal but they are not on track to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions,” The Ecologist explains. “We’re not going to meet our one and a half or two-degree targets that all governments, including the British government, agreed to in Paris.”
“Burning more wood makes it absolutely impossible to meet that target. We now know that if we overshoot that the consequences last for 100s to a thousand or more years. So there’s no off switch, there’s no reverse gear.”

Texas carpet bombs its own hurricane-traumatized victims with neurological poisons sprayed from military planes

The war on humanity continues unabated in Texas, where over one million acres of land are being carpet-bombed with the aerial spraying of neurotoxic chemicals in an effort to kill mosquitoes. Texas authorities are openly lying to citizens, claiming these poisons are magically not poisons at all when they come into contact with humans. Even more alarmingly, Texas authorities are urging their citizens to use other toxic chemicals on their skin — chemicals that are part of a binary weapon system that causes Alzheimer’s and dementia by incurring permanent brain damage (see the science, below).
“U.S. Air Force C-130 cargo planes began spraying insecticides over three eastern Texas counties over the weekend and will expand to other areas over the next two weeks, officials from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) said,” reports Reuters. “About 1.85 million acres have been treated as of Tuesday, according to the department.”
In effect, the State of Texas is unleashing weapons of mass destruction against its own citizens, generating trillions of dollars in long-term health care costs that financially benefit the drug makers who sell prescription “treatments” for Alzheimer’s, dementia, cancer and other diseases caused by chemical exposure. The aerial bombardment of high-density population centers, it turns out, is a revenue generating activity for the for-profit “sick care” industry that has infiltrated the entire Texas legislature.
“DSHS is working with counties that have requested assistance with mosquito control to coordinate spraying by two state contractors and federal support through FEMA and the U.S. Air Force Reserve,” reports the official DSHS website. “A total of approximately 4.36 million acres has been sprayed across all areas.”
Apparently mosquitoes can “hurt recovery operations” by “swarming residents,” explains a DSHS spokesperson, somehow imagining that Gulf Coast Texas residents have never encountered mosquitoes before. Perhaps this doesn’t qualify as a breaking news alert, but Houstonians have seen mosquitoes before. The fact that mosquitoes fly around in groups is not exactly cause for panic. Announcing that there are mosquitoes in Texas is sort of like declaring there’s snow in Alaska.

Aerial chemtrail spraying and nighttime insecticide fog trucks

The chemtrail spraying of Texas residents is taking place during daylight hours, while insecticide-spewing fog trucks run all night. Military aircraft equipped with chemtrail spraying equipment — something the entire mainstream media still mocks as somehow being a conspiracy theory — are being openly used in this operation.
“The C-130 cargo planes operating from an air force base in San Antonio joined two smaller aircraft that sprayed in south Texas last week,” reports Reuters. “In Jefferson County on the eastern Texas coast, aerial spraying began Sunday and could end Tuesday.”
Thus, the entire mainstream media now confirms that chemtrail spraying is taking place in Texas. Furthermore, military hardware is being used to conduct the spraying operations, which consist of bombarding the population with toxic chemicals. None of this is debated. Yes, the U.S. government is carpet bombing U.S. citizens with neurological poisons. This is all openly admitted by the Texas government.

All this toxic poison is perfectly safe for you to breathe, according to clueless “officials”

By definition, an insecticide is a toxic chemical substance that kills living organisms. If it didn’t kill things, it wouldn’t qualify as an insecticide.
The problem with all such chemicals is that their neurological damage is never limited to the targeted insects they intend to eradicate. Nearly all insecticides end up being toxic to aquatic life, animals and even humans. Similarly, they all persist in the environment for days, weeks or even months. That’s why laboratories like my own lab — CWC Labs — can easily detect pesticide and herbicide chemicals in food crops many months after harvest.
The Texas Department of State Health Services goes to great lengths to lie to the public and tell people they can inhale this insecticide with impunity, stating:
During aerial spraying, a small amount of insecticide is sprayed over a large area, one to two tablespoons per acre. When applied according to label instructions by a licensed professional, it does not pose a health risk to people, pets or the environment. According to the EPA, people may prefer to stay inside and close windows and doors when spraying takes place, but it is not necessary.
Some of the statements made by DSHS are such laughable outright lies that even the scientific community can’t help but mock the deceptions. In one press release, DSHS actually claims that insecticide chemicals magically break down during the night so that honey bees wake up the next morning to a clean, chemical-free world where all the insecticide chemicals sprayed the night before have vanished:
The insecticides dissipate and break down quickly in the environment, and when bees emerge in daylight, they are not affected.
That statement is written by anti-science quacks who work for the government, of course. It’s the same excuse that neonicotinoid manufacturers have used for years, falsely claiming their chemicals don’t harm pollinators either. The State of Texas might as well just issue a press release that proclaims, “We are suspending the laws of cause and effect during the hurricane cleanup effort” because that’s essentially what they are claiming. (Or, even better, declare that “nicotine is not addictive.”)
Texas officials suddenly refuse to believe in the laws of chemistry, you see. Deadly chemicals that are being sprayed in order to kill things now have magical properties that allow Texas bureaucrats to arbitrarily decide which insects those chemicals will kill. Even when federal officials see a shocking increase in nervous system damage — such as Gullain-Barre syndrome — among people exposed to these insecticide chemicals, the authorities always blame the mosquitoes instead of the chemical.

Texas tells citizens to use the same larvicide that caused the shrunken brains blamed on Zika

Accelerating its war on its own citizens, Texas officials even recommend that people dump larvicide chemicals into standing water, even though it’s those same chemicals that actually caused the “shrunken brains” which were blamed on Zika virus (which turned out to be a total medical hoax).
“People can help control mosquitoes during the recovery effort by dumping out standing water around their homes and businesses and applying a commercially available larvicide in water that can’t be drained,” urges a DSHS press release. “People should also avoid mosquito bites by using an EPA-registered mosquito repellent every time they go outside…”
In other words, in addition to being chemtrail sprayed with C-130 cargo planes that bombard the population with deadly neurotoxins, and beyond the nightly fog trucks that spray yet more toxins on cities, the people of Texas are being told to poison the water around their homes and cover their skin with DEET, another brain-damaging neurotoxin.
As Natural News previously exposed with exhaustive scientific research, the combination of DEET and carbamate-class pesticides generates a binary weapon that bombards human brains with acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, effectively causing Alzheimer’s-like symptoms in humans.

The DEET chemical is actually N,N-Diethyl-3-methylbenzamide. From a molecular science point of view, it looks like this (courtesy ChemSpider.com):

Note the molecular formula of C12H17NO. This means it has a total of 12 carbon atoms, 17 hydrogen atoms, one nitrogen and one oxygen. (We often use molecular formulas as shorthand in chemistry. This tells you the elemental composition and ratios, but not the bonding configuration or polarity.)
All by itself, the DEET chemical is known to cause damage to nerve cells. Let’s explore that, because DEET is just one part of a binary chemical weapon system that is right now being deployed against the American people… a weapon system engineered to cause mass fear and confusion while even achieving a “behavior modifying” effect as you’ll soon see.

DEET damages brain cells by interfering with enzymatic reactions

Ever wonder how DEET kills insects? It’s an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, meaning it blocks the molecular action of acetylcholinesterase.

French scientists Vincent Corbel from the Institut de Recherche pour le Developement in Montpellier and Bruno Lapied from the University of Angers headed a team of researchers who studied the mode of action and toxicity of DEET, also known by the chemical name N,N-Diethyl-3-methylbenzamide. “We’ve found that DEET is not simply a behavior-modifying chemical but also inhibits the activity of a key central nervous system enzyme, acetylcholinesterase, in both insects and mammals,” Corbel said in a statement to the media.
What exactly is acetylcholinesterase? “Acetylcholinesterase (AChE, acetycholine acetylhydrolase…) is found in many types of conducting tissue: nerve and muscle, central and peripheral tissues, motor and sensory fibers, and cholinergic and noncholinergic fibers,” says this 2013 science paper in Current Neuropharmocology: “Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors: Pharmacology and Toxicology.”
Blocking AChE causes “disrupted neurotransmission” and other damaging effects to brain cells: “The enzyme inactivation, induced by various inhibitors, leads to acetylcholine accumulation, hyperstimulation of nicotinic and muscarinic receptors, and disrupted neurotransmission.”
According to that science paper, AChE inhibitors work similarly to carbamate and organophosphate pesticides — two classes of chemicals routinely sprayed all over the national food supply — meaning that people who slather their skin with DEET are poisoning themselves with brain-disrupting pesticide chemicals. Says the paper, “In medicine and agriculture, the word ‘organophosphates’ refers to a group of insecticides and nerve agents that inhibit AChE.”
These organophosphates “exert their main toxicological effects through non-reversible phosphorylation of esterases in the central nervous system,” report the scientists. “The acute toxic effects are related to irreversible inactivation of AChE.”
In other words, some classes of AChE inhibitors can cause irreversible damage to the central nervous system.

DEET inhibits nervous system function… that’s how it kills

DEET is an AChE inhibitor. As stated in this science paper entitled “Evidence for inhibition of cholinesterases in insect and mammalian nervous systems by the insect repellent deet”:
Despite the widespread and increased interest in the use of deet in public health programmes, controversies remain concerning both the identification of its target sites at the olfactory system and its mechanism of toxicity in insects, mammals and humans…
…[W]e show that deet is not simply a behaviour-modifying chemical but that it also inhibits cholinesterase activity, in both insect and mammalian neuronal preparations. Deet is commonly used in combination with insecticides and we show that deet has the capacity to strengthen the toxicity of carbamates, a class of insecticides known to block acetylcholinesterase.
These findings question the safety of deet, particularly in combination with other chemicals…
Now you are beginning to grasp the binary weapon of DEET + Carbamates (or OPs). Carbamates are common pesticides sprayed on food crops. They’re also sprayed into the air by your local government as part of their ill-formed mosquito control programs they claim will stop Zika.

DEET is one part of a binary chemical weapon (the other part is carbamate insecticides)

I hope you’re paying close attention to what I’m explaining here, because what the study mentioned above reveals is that DEET is part of a binary chemical weapon system that goes “ballistic” against your nerve cells when combined with certain classes of insecticides (such as carbamates and OPs).
What are carbamate insecticides? They are a class of pesticide chemicals that are right now being sprayed on food crops all across America. Even worse, they’re often used in aerial spraying campaigns in combination with DEET. In effect, this is a chemical binary weapon now being deployed against the American people.
“Deet is commonly used in combination with insecticides and we show that deet has the capacity to strengthen the toxicity of carbamates, a class of insecticides known to block acetylcholinesterase,” says the BioMedCentral science paper linked above.
Adding to the concern, this warning from MDguidelines.com explains, “Over 80% of the pesticide poisonings in the US are caused by organophosphate and carbamate pesticides. These compounds inhibit acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme critical to the control of nerve impulse transmission from one cell to another. When the enzyme is inhibited, there is overstimulation and then paralysis of the secondary cell.”
According to this PDF document from the USGS, “The toxicity of OP and carbamate pesticides is due to the disruption of the nervous system of an invertebrate or a vertebrate through the inhibition of cholinesterase (ChE) enzymes. These enzymes are involved in transmitting normal nerve impulses throughout the nervous system. An acute pesticide dose reduces the activity of ChEs, and nerve impulses cannot be transmitted normally. This can paralyze the nervous system, and it may lead to death, usually from respiratory failure.”
That same report goes on to explain how “More than 100 avian species have been poisoned by these pesticides” and that “Raptors and other bird species become victims of secondary poisoning when they scavenge dead animals poisoned by pesticides or when they feed on live animals or invertebrates that are unable to escape predation because of pesticide intoxication.”
In other words, the carbamates make animals weak and confused, turning them into easy prey. Hmmm… can you think of any other targeted population an evil government might want to make weak and confused so that they can be easily controlled or exploited? Remember, to the government, We the People are nothing more than zoo animals living on tax farms, and they are more than happy to use chemical sprays to keep us all dumbed down and ignorant, just as former slave plantation owners refused to allow their slaves to learn to read.
“Research by Duke University Medical Center pharmacologist Mohamed Abou-Donia, who has spent 30 years studying the effects of pesticides, found that prolonged exposure to DEET can impair functioning in parts of the brain and could result in problems with muscle coordination, muscle weakness, walking or even memory and cognition,” reports Natural News.

The binary weapon formula is DEET + Carbamates

New science confirms: Earth was WARMER during Medieval period

A new technical paper that was published in GeoResJ shows that it is not possible to confirm that any recent warming of our planet is due to unnatural causes. After a team of scientists led by Jennifer Marohasy and Dr. John Abbot used big data techniques to assess six 2,000-year proxy temperature series, they discovered the recent warming on Earth might have happened even if there had never been an industrial revolution.
The most recent forecasts using artificial neural networks are believed to be more accurate than the general circulation models that have typically been used until now. The researchers fed data from various methods of measuring temperatures during the last 2,000 years, like coral cores and tree rings, into a machine learning neural network that predicted patterns of temperatures over the two millennia had there not been extra carbon dioxide from industrialization.
What the computer predicted was almost exactly what the temperatures around the world actually were during the time period under study. Indeed, the average divergence between their projection and the proxy temperature record was just 0.09 degree Celsius. This means that even without fossil fuels burning and the industrial revolution, warming would have still been noted on our planet through the 20th century.
After studying the six-proxy series from various geographic regions that have already been published in mainstream literature on climate science, they discovered lots of zigzags. However, there were two rising trends, one of which peaked around 1200 A.D. in the Medieval Warm Period and a second that peaked in 1980 before dropping off. The Little Ice Age occurred in the time between these peaks. During the earlier warming period, agriculture thrived in England. It was around this time that the Vikings settled Greenland and men donning tunics built great cathedrals.

Evidence piling up that Medieval period was hotter

The researchers’ evidence also shows that it was actually around one degree warmer throughout Europe during that time, confirming past studies. Some researchers have used remodeling in their favor to flatten the Medieval Warm Period and try to downplay its significance, but hundreds of scientists from 40 countries around the world have contributed peer-reviewed papers proving that the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than the present and this study is just the latest.
The findings of Marohasy and Abbot add to a growing mountain of evidence pointing to warmer temperatures during the past. According to a report from the Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change, the Medieval Warm Period was not only warmer than the current period, but it also lasted longer than the current warm period and was global in scope.
A comprehensive study out of Germany published in Nature Climate Change examined tree ring data and found that earlier estimates of historical temperatures during times like the Middle Ages and Roman Era were too low.
If the climate has been warmer in the past in the absence of any significant carbon dioxide emissions, it means that CO2 emissions do not have the huge impact on the climate that some parties with vested interests claim. It might be true that greenhouse gases can have a warming effect, but experts like respected climatologist Judith Curry believe that natural climate variability is playing a much stronger role in all this than human impact.

An Environmental Working Group review of government water analysis data reveals that 75% of drinking water in America is contaminated with cancer-causing hexavalent chromium (also known as chromium-6). America's infrastructure collapsing into Third World status

As Donald Trump said recently at a rally in Michigan, we used to make cars in Flint and you couldn't drink the water in Mexico. Now the cars are being made in Mexico, and you can't drink the water in Flint. Nor can you safely drink public water almost anywhere in America, as it's almost universally contaminated with chromium-6, heavy metals or other toxic chemicals.

This doesn't even cover the deliberate poisoning of public water systems with fluoride, a neurotoxic chemical purchased in bulk from Chinese chemical plants (or sometimes acquired as a waste product from fertilizer manufacturing factories). Fluoride is dumped into public water supplies under the quack science claim that every person in the nation is deficient in fluoride -- a blatantly false and highly irresponsible claim. In reality, many children suffer from fluorosis, a dark mottling and discoloration of the teeth caused by too much exposure to toxic fluoride.

What's astonishing in all this is just how quickly America's infrastructure is collapsing into "Third World" status under the rule of a corrupt political establishment. Well then, according to the EPA, chromium-6 causes cancer and it's also "naturally occurring." I guess that means you're supposed to drink more, right? From the EPA website:

Chromium-6 occurs naturally in the environment from the erosion of natural chromium deposits. It can also be produced by industrial processes. There are demonstrated instances of chromium being released to the environment by leakage, poor storage, or inadequate industrial waste disposal practices.

After FDA found weedkiller in nearly 100% of honey products, it kept the information secret and refused to warn the public

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been doing its best to protect Monsanto and the entire GMO industry by dragging its feet and hiding information regarding glyphosate content in foods.

Glyphosate, the most widely-used herbicide on the planet and an essential component in GMO agricultural methods, has been the subject of increasing concern - particularly since the World Health Organization (WHO) classified it as a "probable human carcinogen" in 2015.

For many years, the FDA avoided testing foods for glyphosate residue at all, parroting Monsanto's assurances that the herbicide poses no threat to human health, but under mounting public pressure it finally began conducting tests in February of this year.

Although the agency routinely tests foods for other pesticide residues, it has rather suspiciously left glyphosate off of the list until now.

"[FDA testing] came after many independent researchers started conducting their own testing and found glyphosate in an array of food products, including flour, cereal, and oatmeal. The government and Monsanto have maintained that any glyphosate residues in food would be minimal enough to be safe. But critics say without robust testing, glyphosate levels in food are not known. And they say that even trace amounts may be harmful because they are likely consumed so regularly in many foods."

And the results of the FDA's own tests are truly disturbing.

Glyphosate residue found even in "100% all-natural" honey

Documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) reveal, for example, that glyphosate residue was found in all of the honey samples tested by the FDA - even honey marketed as being "100% all-natural." Some of the samples contained twice the European Union's allowable amount of glyphosate residue, and there is no allowable limit for glyphosate in honey produced in the U.S. - at least not yet.

This means that U.S. honey producers are technically in violation of the law - at least until tolerance levels are set by the FDA.

FDA denial and stalling tactics

But the FDA doesn't seem to be in any hurry to set any tolerance levels for honey. In fact, internal emails obtained through FOIA requests reveal that although honey producers are technically in violation, the agency doesn't consider it important because "it is not a safety issue."

In other words, the FDA is still dragging its feet to do anything, and is not currently planning to either set tolerance levels, or hold honey producers responsible for violating the law. In a statement, the FDA said: "there is no dietary risk concern from exposure to glyphosate residues in honey at this time."

And, of course, it's not really the fault of the honey producers to begin with, since glyphosate use is so widespread and because beekeepers have no real control over where the bees collect the pollen used in making honey.

The emails and other documents obtained show that the FDA is aware of the "glyphosate controversy," but seems both unwilling and unable to do much about it, other than keeping its test results secret and continuing its stalling tactics.

But slowly, the truth is leaking out regarding the dangers of glyphosate and the fact that both the FDA and the USDA have been corrupted through the lobbying efforts of Monsanto and the GMO industry as a whole.

For years, the Frankenfood industry has managed to keep its dark secrets with the help of a sold-out federal regulatory system, but the public is finally waking up to the deception and the dangers posed to the health of virtually every person on the planet.

Nothing short of a worldwide ban on GMOs and the use of glyphosate is an acceptable solution - we must collectively continue to fight the Frankenfood industry until it no longer exists in the United States or anywhere else.

Hundreds of cancer-causing chemicals detected in Americans' blood, urine and hair, says environmental watchdog

Concerns about the human health effects of perpetual exposure to environmental toxins often get dismissed or ignored by health authorities on the grounds that such chemicals don't stick around inside the body long enough to cause problems. But a new report by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) – the first of its kind – suggests quite the opposite, and could help explain why rates of cancer and other chronic diseases continue to skyrocket in the developed world.

Researchers from the respected environmental watchdog group spent upwards of a year poring through data compiled from more than 1,000 biomonitoring studies, as well as other research published by leading government agencies and independent scientists, and came to some shocking conclusions. They found that as many as 420 unique chemicals known or suspected to cause cancer, are now being detected in human blood, urine, hair and other tissue samples, demonstrating not only that carcinogens are everywhere, but that they're also permeating our bodies at an alarming rate.

The bulk of existing cancer research focuses almost exclusively on tobacco, alcohol and sun exposure as the alleged primary causes of cancer, at the exclusion of the literally thousands of chemicals that have been scientifically shown to cause cancer. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) agrees that 20 percent of cancers – or one in five cases – are a result of chemical and/or environmental exposure, not cigarettes, booze and ultraviolet rays.

Reinforcing other ongoing research of a similar nature, like that of the Halifax Project – a collaboration of more than 300 scientists from around the world who are investigating the cancer-causing effects of common chemicals – the new EWG findings are sure to raise some eyebrows within the realm of public health. At the very least, what this research shows is that not nearly enough investigation has taken place with regard to chemical safety, and that the general public faces unknown risks from this lack of proper scrutiny.

"The presence of a toxic chemical in our bodies does not necessarily mean it will cause harm, but this report details the astounding number of carcinogens we are exposed to in almost every part of life that are building up in our systems," stated Curt DellaValle, author of the report and a senior scientist at EWG.

"At any given time some people may harbor dozens or hundreds of cancer-causing chemicals. This troubling truth underscores the need for greater awareness of our everyday exposure to chemicals and how to avoid them."

Compounded toxicity, an often overlooked aspect of carcinogenic exposure

Another issue addressed by the report is the lack of safety research on chemicals in combination with one another. The combined toxicity of multiple chemicals in tandem – a common occurrence in many consumer products – is a major unknown when it comes to long-term health effects, especially in developing unborn children still inside their mothers' wombs.

"Many of the carcinogens this study documents in people find their way into our bodies through food, air, water and consumer products every day. Dozens of them show up in human umbilical cord blood—which means Americans are exposed to carcinogens before they've left the womb," says EWG president, Ken Cook.

"We should focus on preventing cancer by preventing human exposure to these chemicals."

As we've reported in the past, the federal Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) in its current form lacks the necessary regulatory teeth required to accurately assess the safety of chemicals, especially the effects of combined chemical exposure. As it stands, thousands of chemicals have been "grandfathered" into use without having been properly safety tested by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a direct result of TSCA's failed guidelines.

#2) Even according to the CDC, which is aggressively pushing false Zika fear, nearly all Zika infections are harmless, symptomless and require no hospitalization whatsoever

In other words, Zika infections are no big deal, and nearly everyone self-immunizes against Zika even after they have been infected. So much for the urgent fear for a new vaccine, eh?

#3) The CDC fabricated the science linking Zika to microcephaly

By the way, the CDC is totally fabricating its claim that all cases of microcephaly are caused by Zika virus. This proclamation by the CDC was based on complete fiction, just like everything else the CDC claims about Bird Flu, Swine Flu and even the number of people who die from influenza each year (the CDC claims 35,000, but it's a completely fabricated number).

Zika virus outbreak linked to release of genetically engineered mosquitoes

GMO skeptics like myself have been warning for years of the unintended consequences of genetic pollution. Even when genetically engineered organisms are released into the world with the best of intentions, such actions can wreak havoc on the ecosystem and human civilization in ways that simply can't be foreseen by the world's most well-meaning scientists.

I specifically warned about this in 2012, listing the top 12 threats to humanity posed by out of control science. In that infographic, I designated "Level 4" hazards as "Self-replicating pollution," naming genetically engineered organisms as the vector for such threats against humanity. (In the years since, many top science figures like Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk have repeated the warnings from my list, including threats from AI.)

Now we may be seeing the first wave of the horrific destruction that can be unleashed by self-replicating genetically modified organisms. The Zika virus, now spreading with unbridled ferocity, appears to have been caused by the release of genetically engineered mosquitoes that scientists hoped would sharply reduce malaria infections.

"The Zika virus outbreak currently gripping the Americas could have been sparked by the release of genetically modified mosquitoes in 2012," reports The Mirror. "The insects were engineered by biotechnology experts to combat the spread of dengue fever and other diseases and released into the general population of Brazil in 2012... The Aedes aegypti mosquito sub-species that carries both the Zika virus and dengue was the type targeted with genetically modified mosquitoes."

But something went horribly wrong.

As pointed out in this fantastic article by AntiMedia.org, the genetic engineers running this massive open-air experiment with mosquitoes and humans failed to consider the impact of antibiotics in the environment caused by their heavy use in agricultural (animal feed) operations.

Only the male modified Aedes mosquitoes are supposed to be released into the wild — as they will mate with their unaltered female counterparts. Once offspring are produced, the modified, scientific facet is supposed to ‘kick in’ and kill that larvae before it reaches breeding age — if tetracycline is not present during its development...

According to an unclassified document from the Trade and Agriculture Directorate Committee for Agriculture dated February 2015, Brazil is the third largest in “global antimicrobial consumption in food animal production” — meaning, Brazil is third in the world for its use of tetracycline in its food animals. As a study by the American Society of Agronomy, et. al., explained, “It is estimated that approximately 75% of antibiotics are not absorbed by animals and are excreted in waste.” One of the antibiotics (or antimicrobials) specifically named in that report for its environmental persistence is tetracycline.

The presence of antibiotics causes the mosquitoes that are supposed to die off to survive and reproduce. These same genetically engineered mosquitoes may then bite humans, injecting them with the Zika virus that's now causing horrific mutations in head and brain formation in children.

A whole new epidemic caused by foolish genetic engineering that alters entire ecosystems

At least 4,000 babies in Brazil have been born with microcephaly over just the last four months, and the spread of Zika virus is rapidly exploding. Here's just one photo showing the horrific deformations believed to be caused by Zika, carried by mosquitoes:



As more reports of deformed children keep appearing, the media is freaking out, the CDC is freaking out and the U.S. government is freaking out, demanding urgent calls for yet more vaccines. Alarmingly, the very same scientists who pushed for the release of the genetically engineered mosquitoes that may have caused all this are also now calling for more genetically engineered mosquitoes which they claim will solve this problem.

But the incompetence and corruption of government and science has never been more blatant: None of the testing with GMO mosquitoes took place in the presence of tetracycline or other antibiotics that are now ubiquitous in the environment due to heavy use of drugs in factory farm operations.

Mother Nature is not obedient to the hazardous science of foolish biotechnology

As with GMO crops, these GMO mosquitoes were released into the wilderness by arrogant, incompetent scientists who assume Mother Nature is going to behave the way they want. But Mother Nature doesn't take orders for biotech corporations, it turns out, and life has a way of finding pathways to survival that scientists can never seem to fathom.

Those who warned about threats to the ecosystem were maliciously smeared and labeled "anti-science"

Myself and many others warned the world about all this, and in return we have been maliciously and repeatedly death-threated, slandered, defamed, blackballed and labeled "anti-science." Yet now, the world is starting to see why we were the wise ones after all: We warned about this exact scenario, knowing that Mother Nature doesn't follow the desires of for-profit corporations and their foolish experiments with the ecosystem.

The Zika virus may be just the beginning. See Group of scientists gave standing ovation for plan to kill 90 percent of human population with airborne Ebola for yet another example of how "scientists" are thrilled at the idea of using viruses and airborne delivery (via mosquitoes or otherwise) to commit mass genocide against humanity. This is the kind of thing they dream about unleashing in their war against a population problem that they think will end the world if they don't drastically reduce the number of people living on our planet.

The Zika virus, in other words, might not even be an accident. If you give these scientists the most optimistic credit possible, you might say they intended for a positive outcome but didn't realize the risks of what they were doing. But a more pessimistic analysis of their actions might reasonably conclude that they're testing a bioweapon delivery system against humanity.

Only time will tell which interpretation is correct. Whatever the outcome, make no mistake that today's biotech science is incredibly foolish, and the actions of these biotech corporations are putting the very future of humanity at extreme risk. Now, it seems, humanity is beginning to witness the true cost of arrogantly playing God with nature.

New strains of GM crops that produce pesticides in their own tissues are being approved without rigorous safety testing, even though they may carry "serious health and environmental risks," according to a research review conducted by scientists from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, and published in the journal Frontiers in Environmental Science on November 9.

The crops in question are engineered to carry pesticide-producing genes from the bacterial species Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). In recent years, companies have increasingly turned to crossbreeding different varieties of Bt crops, producing crops that now carry numerous different strains of Bt toxin at once. These "stacked-trait" crops are being approved for planting and sale, based on several false assertions made by the genetically modified (GM) crop industry, the study found.

Hiding toxic effects

One such assertion is that each individual Bt toxin affects only a small number of insect pests, and has no effects on other species such as beneficial insect predators ("non-target" species). But the researchers found numerous studies showing the opposite to be true.

According to lead researcher Angelika Hilbeck, companies hide the truth by defining non-target effects in a highly narrow fashion: a "quick kill."

"This is an economic concept: you want a quick kill for economic reasons, to save the crop from pest-induced damage," Hilbeck said. "But Bt toxins are not fast-acting toxins. Even in target pests, Bt toxins don't kill quickly – it takes most susceptible insects a day or more to die. The Bt toxin in GM crops is expressed in the crop plant for months at a time. Residues linger in soil and aquatic systems.

"Regulatory tests need to look at long-term and sublethal effects, because that is what non-target organisms are likely to be exposed to. Currently these tests are not required. Yet we found a lot of evidence in the scientific literature that non-target organisms such as ladybirds, water fleas, lacewings and even slugs are adversely affected by Bt toxins."

The review also turned up evidence that Bt toxins may have long-term, toxic effects in mammals – including, potentially, in humans who eat GM crops.

The uncertainty around the safety of stacked-trait Bt crops is only worsened, the researchers noted, by the fact that scientists do not even understand how Bt toxins function. The formerly accepted model has been widely discredited due to new research, and the revelation of scientific misconduct and data tampering by the researchers who first proposed it.

More dangerous than single pesticides

Another false industry claim is that use of Bt crops reduces pesticide use. But the review found that the total pesticide load in stacked-trait Bt crops often exceeded the typical amount of pesticide used in a non-GM field. For example, SmartStax GM corn contains six different Bt toxins and two herbicide tolerant traits. The total Bt toxin load in this crop is 19 times the average 2010 pesticide application rate!

Perhaps the most glaring regulatory failing uncovered by the review, is the acceptance of industry claims that stacked-trait crops should be approved on the basis of tests conducted on single-trait crops. Yet the review uncovered numerous studies showing that stacked-trait crops caused biological effects not produced by any of the individual toxins alone. The same thing occurred when Bt toxins were mixed with neonicotinoid insecticides, as commonly occurs in the field.

The review also found that industry dossiers seeking stacked-trait approval consistently failed to mention the studies that contradicted their false assumptions. Regulators did not require any further safety testing of stacked-trait crops, beyond a few short-term insect feeding trials.

Instead, the researchers said, regulators should require long-term mammal feeding trials, as a minimum.

Furthermore, Hilbeck said, "We have to extend the definition of 'effect' from the economic to the ecological."

Toxic sludge in contaminated river reaches New Mexico, communities have 90-day water supply

Toxic waste, including arsenic and lead, which seeped into a river in southwest Colorado, has now crossed the state border into New Mexico. More than 550 gallons per minute are entering the water flow system according to the Environmental Protection Agency, which caused the spill.

The agency says it should have the results of samples undergoing lab testing soon, so they can find out just how contaminated the river has become. Aside from lead and arsenic, federal officials say the spill also contains, cadmium, aluminum, copper and calcium.

Human fecal matter contains gold worth millions

Human feces contains gold and other precious metals that could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, experts say.

Now the trick is how to retrieve them -- a potential windfall that could also help save the planet.

"The gold we found was at the level of a minimal mineral deposit," said Kathleen Smith, of the US Geological Survey, after her team discovered metals such as platinum, silver and gold in treated waste.

A recent study by another group of experts in the field found that waste from one million Americans could contain as much as $13 million worth of metals.

Finding a way to extract the metals could help the environment by cutting down on the need for mining and reducing unwanted release of metals into the environment.

"If you can get rid of some of the nuisance metals that currently limit how much of these biosolids we can use on fields and forests, and at the same time recover valuable metals and other elements, that's a win-win," said Smith.

"There are metals everywhere -- in your hair care products, detergents, even nanoparticles that are put in socks to prevent bad odors."

More than seven million tons of biosolids come out of US wastewater facilities each year: about half is used as fertilizer on fields and in forests and the other half is incinerated or sent to landfills.

Smith and her team are on a mission to find out exactly what is in our waste.

"We have a two-pronged approach," said Smith. "In one part of the study, we are looking at removing some regulated metals from the biosolids that limit their use for land application.

"In the other part of the project, we're interested in collecting valuable metals that could be sold, including some of the more technologically important metals, such as vanadium and copper that are in cell phones, computers and alloys."

The findings were presented at the 249th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society, taking place in Denver through Thursday.

Air pollution makes Beijing nearly 'uninhabitable for human beings' according to study

After many days without rain in densely populated places like Los Angeles and New York City, it is sometimes possible to catch a small glimpse of what is an everyday reality for Beijing, China's 20-some million residents -- thick blankets of blackish smog that penetrate the air and fill the lungs of those who breathe it.

Beijing is one of the most air-polluted cities on the planet, so much so that researchers from the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences declared it to be almost "uninhabitable for human beings" in a recent study. Buildings throughout the city are having to be outfitted with special air purifiers, and schoolchildren are being forced to play sports indoors, underneath special protective inflatable domes.

"It's a bit of a change having to go through an airlock on the way to class," stated Travis Washko, director of sports at the British School of Beijing, to The Guardian about some of the new ways the city's institutions are dealing with the problem. "But the kids love it, and parents can now rest assured their children are playing in a safe environment."

If it weren't for the dome, students would be forced outdoors into a thick layer of noxious pollution that almost never subsides. Air pollution has become so dense, in fact, that China's Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that the average 18-year-old Beijing resident will spend about 40 percent of his remaining years in ill health.

Are the people of Beijing being deprived of vitamin D?

All across the city, buildings are being altered to keep people fully confined in hermetically sealed rooms and spaces, with no access to the polluted outside air. But in the process, Beijing residents are being deprived of direct exposure to natural sunlight, which is necessary for the production of vitamin D inside the body.

A study conducted earlier this year on pregnant women in Beijing found that all of them were deficient in vitamin D, the direct result of avoiding time outdoors. Some of the women reported taking vitamin D supplements to counteract the lack of sunlight exposure, but the average amounts they took weren't enough to bring them into the optimal range.

Beijing utilizing "chemtrails" to produce artificial rain in effort to cut pollution

Since government crackdowns on excessive factory pollution and moderate restrictions on fossil fuel production have done little to address the problem, some scientists and entrepreneurs have proposed more novel mitigatory solutions. One of these involves installing copper wires underground to magnetically attract air pollution, while a nearby city has suggested digging giant ditches in mountainsides to capture pockets of pollution.

Already in play are futuristic weather-modification techniques that China at large is already using to address drought conditions. Recognizing that precipitation tends to capture air pollution and clear it from the skies in a way similar to a vacuum cleaner, the Chinese government has implemented a network of "chemtrail" machinery, including 50 airplanes, that intentionally seed the skies with clouds in order to create fake rain.

"[B]ecause of chronic water shortages, China has invested heavily in artificial rain since the late 1950s," explains The Guardian. "The country now [boasts] a battery of 7,000 cloud-seeding artillery guns, the same number of launchers for chemical-bearing rockets, and more than 50 planes -- all manned by an army of 50,000 employees, ready to launch full-scale warfare on the weather."

Deadly Fukushima radiation up 50,000% as elevated radiation levels seen across North America

Beta radiation levels are off the charts at monitoring sites all across North America, according to new reports. But experts are blaming these radiation spikes on practically everything except for Fukushima.

Data gathered from tracking units in California, Arizona, Illinois and elsewhere reveal radiation levels up to 50,000 percent higher than what was observed at the same time last year, and in some cases compared to levels seen this past summer.

EnviroReporter.com says the impacted sites are scattered throughout the country and aren't just confined to the West Coast. Readings taken near Los Angeles; Chicago; Montgomery, Alabama; and Madison, Wisconsin, reveal total beta counts per minute (CPM) greatly exceeding the 1,000 CPM threshold considered by the government to be problematic.

In Tucson, Arizona, for instance, a 460 CPM reading was recently taken, which is more than 10 times higher than the reading taken last year on November 27. Similarly, Phoenix, Arizona's 735 CPM reading measured more than 21 times higher than last year's reading.

San Diego appears to be one of the hardest-hit areas, with a CPM reading of 650, as of October 1. This figure is 60 times higher than it was last year on the same date, despite the fact that San Diego's normal background radiation rate typically hovers around 20 CPM.

"U.S. Environmental Protection Agency RadNet radiation monitors have detected renewed surges in atmospheric readings of dangerous beta radiation across the country," explains EnviroReporter.com about the seemingly inexplicable phenomenon.

"Over a dozen metropolitan test sites have registered four-month highs in EnviroReporter.com's most recent comprehensive assessment."

Radiation testing site near Chicago records radiation levels thousands of times higher than maximum safety threshold

Commenting on the situation, one EnviroReporter.com reader offered his own assessment that these readings are "astronomically high." He was quick to denounce Fukushima as a possible cause, though, adding that this would only be possible if "something there has changed dramatically."

Either way, the radiation levels being detected are still a major cause for concern. Anything above 100 CPM is considered by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to be a potential hazardous materials situation requiring the deployment of hazmat protocols.

At a testing site in St. Charles, Illinois, located just west of Chicago, a recent peak reading of 7,298 CPM caught the attention of some environmental activists, who chided the media for remaining silent on the issue.

This reading represents a nearly 7,300 percent radiation increase beyond CHP's safety threshold. This site apparently experienced a series of massive radiation spikes beginning at approximately 1:00 am and lasting for as long as six hours.

California official blames plastic eating utensils for radiation spike, insist it can't be Fukushima

Back in California, county officials in San Mateo recorded radiation levels at a local beach measuring 100 micro-REM per hour, or 1 microsievert per hour, which is five times the normal amount. According to the Half Moon Bay Review, local environmental health director Dean Peterson was quick to denounce that this level poses any risk to human health.

When asked where this radiation might be coming from, Peterson admitted that he is "befuddled," but also denied that Fukushima could possibly be a cause. Instead, he says, it may be due to an excess of disposable eating utensils polluting the area.

"I honestly think the end result of this is that it's just higher levels of background radiation," stated Peterson to the HMB Review, adding that red-painted disposable eating utensils can also contribute to localized radiation spikes.
